The quality of the glass ranges depending on the vendor. But if you stick with the popular ones like CCG or MLGlass, or recommendations from /r/chinaglass, it's the same or even better quality than your local head shops (because that's where they purchase it from).
i actually now remember i bought a cheap $30 bong from the convenience store and its pretty heavy feels to be good quality. i also bought 2 other bongs from the convenience store and broke the stems like it was nothing

There's Thick ass glass, smoke cartel. even more. But expect to pay a premium. i got a Blaze glass piece. I did pay a pretty penny for it. The quality is good and the glass is heavy and thick. Even though i did pay alot for the piece, its my favorite. :D

i asked them at the headshop..they told me the owner is from India and buys all his stuff from china...puts decals on them to make em look canadian made
at least they were honest. Yes there are fake vapes at the gate....doesn't mean there are no fake vapes in Canada....this you only find out when the warranty does not work, 2 months after when the unit fails......

I got an insanely good deal on an Arizer Solo II ($162 + ship & tax), from Toronto Hemp Company during the initial pricing war with OCS. They were fantastic to deal with.

As far as DHGate glass goes, you can definitely get killer, 9mm thick glass bongs, which would easily sell for double or more here once somebody rebands them (sticks their decals on em, lol). Personally, I would not use a dry herb vape from China; too much risk of inhaling questionable materials/vapours/glues/plastics. However, I buy Yocan products off DH for portable concentrate use, and they are the same shit you buy here for 1/4 the price.

Toronto Hemp Company is still the company to beat for great deals on vaporizers and sheer convenience of all things weed related. They may not have as eclectic as a selection as Sneaky Pete's sites, but they have the lowest prices on their vapes. For instance, their Mighty is around $420 with taxes. An average headshop will sell the unit anywhere between $420 to $600 without taxes.

I have been using DHGate for a while now and the only time I had an issue was when I was too high ordering and ordered a female connection instead of a male connection for an ash catcher. It's like any other place, you have to do a little research and searching. I've got a nice dab set there - heavy glass bong, ash catcher, bowl, two quartz banger, a dab mat, two silicone 5gm containers and a dab tool for $45..00 US. I've also gotten some good honey straw kits for under $20.00. I've also gotten a good portable enail kit for $45.00. It's usb chargeable and actually gives a good hit off the titanium nail (it comes with a ceramic and glass nail too). I'm ordering a couple of types of banger (XXL, thermochromatic, with cadnium core) along with some carb caps (UFO and quartz - i already have a titanium one). The best way to search is to filter free shipping and single piece. That will save you a lot of time. That and if you see something you like go to the store that sells it, there may be more stuff you're looking for.

Here is a list of some of the things I've bought at DHGate. Just like any place else you need to do your research before you purchase. I haven't been unimpressed with the quality of anything yet. I had one mix up with a seller sending me the wrong size banger (10 mm instead of 14mm) and after I sent pics of it with a measure tape and next to the right size one they sent a replacement no charge and no shipping fee.
