Best Portable Vape for Concentrates and Herb?

1
Hi Guys,

Looking to get a vape for 420 and have been searching the net for deals. I have concluded that I would like to use both concentrates and dry herb and would prefer a "on demand" vape but could settle for a session.

As it seems most portable vapes do not take both concentrates and herb, I'm wondering what some of your reccomendations would be? I have also looked a lot into the Arizers and have heard they can do both by sandwiching concentrates between herb, is this efficient though?

Thanks,

Wezus

It would help to know what your budget is as that is going to determine what options you have. Also, will it be primarily for flower or for concetrates?
Thanks for the response! As it is my first real vape I was hoping to spend no more then $300 CAD though I can move the budget a bit if it is worth it. I just want to get a good vape experience because the few cheaper vapes such as the G pen, Grasshopper and Pax that I have tried didn't really do it for me. I would primarily be using flower, I just wanted to have the option to use concentrates here and there as a little treat. If push comes to shove I can just scrap the idea of using concentrates and get an oil rig, though wouldn't really be economical for my amount of concentrate use.

If it's primarily for flower use then I suggest one of the Arizer products. Either Solo or Air, 1 or 2, whatever best fits your budget amd overall preference. There's a few 420 deals on hardware floating around right now and with $300 to work with you could pick up a Yocan Evolve Plus concentrate pen as well and have a dedicated portable device for both flower and concentrates!

Wow, that's actually an amazing idea! I will definitely check out the Yocan Evolve Plus and really appreciate your help. Thanks :)

I have heard really good things though I have also heard they have a high defect rate and are sadly too expensive for me to justify getting as my first vape.

Good luck in your search.

The Evolve Plus is a solid entry pen in the sense it's simple as hell but always quite effective.

Possibly check out theherbcafe.com they have a 420 sale on right now and are a solid site/dude to order from. Yould grab an Air/Solo 2 and an evolve plus for in around your $300 mark or an OG Air/Solo and Evolve Plus for a bit over $200.

I'm personally a bit of an Arizer fan boy but I believe they've earned the hype with solid products and they're a Canadian company, which I like.

I'm gonna have to jump on the Arizer train as well. Have an original Air for about 3 years and its not slowing down anytime soon. A real workhorse for your first vape.

I've been using the sandwich method for concentrates without issue for a while now. I almost always add some hash or sugar wax these days (marijane depot with the fantastic selection).

With regards to efficiency of concentrate usage, i never really thought that was an issue as I always save my ABV. As a result, youll just get extra powerful ABV to play around with.

Theherbcafe is legit btw, ordered vape710 carts from them last week, came super fast with a little candy thrown in.

I also give a vote to Arizer.
I have had both a Solo and an Air for years (have just replaced the battery in the solo) and really like them for flower!

In terms of concentrates, I don't think either work that well (I have done the sandwich method as well), these are really more for flower.

While I have tried a few different options for concentrates (e.g. the Evolve, plus tried a number of different pens that I borrowed from a friend), I would honestly say that if you are going to be doing concentrates with any regularity, do yourself a favour and get an E-nail -- my D-Nail is hands down the best purchase ever for concentrates.

First off I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU for everyones input. I decided to go through TorontoVaporaizer to get the Arizer Solo 2 bundle, which I believe was an amazing deal: https://torontovaporizer.ca/the-solo-2-bundle-420.html

Talked to one of their reps on the phone, Shaun I believe it was. Dude hooked me up with Free express shipping + a grinder upgrade and the Zeus Vaporizer Armor Case for an extra 30 then it would have cost for just the bundle + shipping.

I just used my Solo 2 for 3 sessions, two without the Zeus Iceborn and one with it. The Solo 2 is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad you guys pointed me to it. I have never been able to taste weed when ripping a bong or smoking a joint. I was taken aback by how flavorful my Blue Hawaiian is, my reaction was almost like those videos of the color blind people putting on the color vision shades LOL. I can't wait to see how more strains taste, this is a new level of dank. A lot more efficient than ripping a .7 bowl every 2 - 3 hours.

The Iceborn was actually pretty good as well. It cooled down the hits so I was able to vape consistently at higher temps with no throat irritation. The plastic mouthpiece does add a bit of smell and taste so I'd prefer to get a glass one but when the vapor hits it isn't as noticable. Overall I wouldn't pay the $70 it is priced at but as a free gift it's pretty awesome.

As for the concentrates, I decided to wait until the Haze Cube comes out. It's a portable on-demand convection vape for concentrates and dry herb, looks very interesting and has good reviews. The 4 bowls also means you can take it out and not need to bring the stash.

All serious shatter heads I know use Evolve plus vapes. My ex runs a grow store that sells bongs and vapes and she started out promoting all these other products but was eventually convinced that evole vapes are the shit!
Replacement coils are cheap online and even buying the vape on EBay you can find some good deals for them. I even grabbed the evolve portable e nail and we used to vape through the bong! It’s pretty dope!

Late to join this but remember these devises will be marketed by Apple flunkies insisting you need the newest gadget and last year's release is old news and incompatible with your current version of android phone that requires the app.........the pax 1 is amazing for herb and concentrates and still delivers needed meds with ease. Bottom line here beware of the market hype machine. In my trade it is wise to purchase old on new release dates..all to often new cameras and lenses ship with bugs. Save 50% and score last year's model. Leaving more argent for meds
