DURBAN POISON (AAA)
Sativa- 100%
THC: 15%-25%
This South African originating landrace strain may be called Durban Poison, but luckily it is completely non-toxic. In fact it is the complete opposite - helping to uplift, energize, and provide a spacey sort of relaxation. It even has a great flavor - with notes of vanilla, orange, spices, and cream.
Durban Poison buds are medium to large in size. Although they have a dense, compact structure typical of indica varieties, their long and tapered shape is more characteristic of sativas. The forest green leaves are offset by bright orange pistils, meant to catch pollen from male fertilizing plants. A coating of milky-white trichomes gives the cured flowers a light sheen and an incredibly sticky texture.
The dominant smell and of Durban Poison is earthy and sweet, with a subtle pine aroma. Expect tastes of anise, vanilla, spiced orange, fennel, and lemon, all tied together with a rich creaminess that can’t be beaten. You’ll experience these flavors on the tip of your tongue, settling in your mouth long after you’ve finished consuming this potent OG ganja.
Durban Poisons high is clean and energizing, and will not in any way leave your body feeling stoney or tired. This is what partially makes Durban Poison a great any-time-of-day marijuana. It won’t distract your mind or cause you to lose focus, but rather keep you motivated and free from stress. The high is especially cerebral, making it a suitable strain to consume whenever desired, even right before powerful workouts or heavy amounts of exercise. Also, you may have heard some say that the nugs act as a sort of ‘happy pill,’ lifting your spirits high and filling your mind with euphoric, creative thoughts that can last the whole day.
