So does anyone here, buyer or seller, used a magnifier to check ripeness of flowers? I’ve been ordering from MOM sites for over a year now and find that most buds I order have been harvested prematurely. I always see buds being rated for smell, taste, flush, dry/cure, burn and high but never ripeness. The only true way to check ripeness is to look at the trichomes to see if they have started to fill with resin or not. Most buds I look at have mostly or only clear coloured trichomes.

I guess I’m just wondering why this isn’t an industry and personal standard practice.

I got a small cheap USB microscope but it's not quite precise enough for this level of detail. I mean you can see the trichomes but they are still pretty small at maximum magnification.
