Cannabidiol
Simply CBD, is one of the 113 identified cannabinoids in the marijuana plant. It is insoluble in water and at room temperature, it is a colorless crystalline solid. Patients ingest CBD through a multitude of ways. Including inhalation of cannabis smoke or vapor, orally through digestion, or topically. Most importantly, CBD does not have the same psychoactive effects as THC. CBD-rich cannabis provides an option for users looking for relief without the feeling of being ‘stoned’.

Is it medicine?
Clinical and anecdotal evidence suggest that CBD is poised to be the most versatile medicine in the post-legalization world. CBD has no lethal dose or serious side effects but has been recommended to treat a variety of conditions including inflammation, chronic pain, anxiety, eczema, epilepsy, and Alzheimers. Standard medications used in these cases are quite often addictive. CBD has proven it is a natural approach in mediating cancer in animals so it can be suggested that it might also work in humans. CBD has also been researched for its potential effectiveness in treating several other neurological and heart diseases. One recent study treated 10 healthy men with one dose of 600 mg of CBD oil and found it reduced resting blood pressure, compared to a placebo. CBD has been studied for its role in treating a number of health issues other than those outlined above.
