I've got to preface this review with the fact that I am a little disappointed with the LA Confidential hash. I had a certain expectation of this one after I had the excellent Super Lemon Haze as seen above. They were both priced the same and from photos on Truemeds.ca, appeared to have a similar texture. The LA I received did not live up to my expectations. I Wanted to love this and was very excited to receive it, but what I got was not what I had envisioned.
The LA did not have a similar texture, level of flavour and appeared much darker than the images of the product. It smells ok when you first get a scent but the taste is bland and of chlorophyll and the texture is hard and clay like. The 7g I ordered came as 14g, but busted up in 7 bags (you can see most of it in the pictures). I am just taking a wild guess, (due to the fact the product was out of stock when I received mine) that I got a bunch of "bottom of the bag" chunks that were taken from the outside of the brick.
Scott from TrueMeds was super quick to get in touch with me after I posted a picture in the Discord . He wanted to know what they could do to make it right, and gave me the opportunity to ask for what I thought would be fair compensation. I did not take him up on his offer but really did appreciate his attentiveness to the situation. He didn't seem to like the way it was packed up and made a comment along the lines of it not being the norm. I don't see any reason to hold them accountable, as this might be the product that I ordered. I ended the conversation with the simple suggestion of updating pictures to reflect the reality of the product.
Based off the picture on their site, this was not from the same batch of product IMO.
I only really use one MOM at a time and TrueMeds is my first really in years. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt on this and will try ordering more from them before making any decisions. So on that note, here we go!!
PS: Scott had them send me a sample of TrainWreck hash (haven't tried yet, will update later!) after i bugged him on the internet! Super cool, freebies are sweet!

Pretty small order of a variety of things. A buddy wanted to try a couple things, so I won't be able to comment in detail on some of it because I didn't get into them enough.
I'll start the review from the top of the list:
Comatose:
The Comatose was for a buddy. I had a little puff of it, I'm not a huge flower guy, so I'm indifferent. For the price the bag appeal is excellent. The bud seemed to burn easy and clean, no fertilizer taste I noticed. Smell and taste left a little to be desired.
Smells like it could use a longer/ better cure. Most prominent smell is of chlorophyll, I couldn't detect anything else in my limited time with the product
Deathstar Sugar Crumble
I really like this stuff. I'm a waxy kind of guy any ways. I basically crumble the wax into a joint and smoke that way. If i do smoke in a rig I generally just heat my tool for a second so it sticks easy and puff away. Smells great and has a smooth easy flavour. Don't taste any solvents left and no crackling or sizzling taking place. My favorite part of this order. Great value for $
CBD Isolate Powder
Will report back on this after some more use. Wife who doesn't smoke wanted it for anxiety and didn't notice anything. Time will tell after we play with dosages, will update when we get a result!
I tried and think I notice something. I had a little bit dissolved under my tongue 10 mins before I started this review (haven't smoked today) and can feel some sort of tingly feeling?
Mercedes Hash
This one wasn't for me but for an older buddy who likes really old style hash. I did get to taste this in a joint and can't say it's my cup of tea.
It tastes a lot like some cheaper "afghan" bricks I've had out west. Not sure how to describe the taste, but if you've had cheap street hash, you've probably tasted something like this before.
I think if you could put the flavour of an old horse barn into a hash, this would come pretty close. Some dudes are into this, as you'll see from lots of reviews all over the internet.
Edit: It was ok for Potency, not put you down stoned, but there is something to it and can get the job done subtly.

Edit: it is potent and it does produce a solid high. It's supposed to be heavy Indica, but it's not so bad on me. I don't feel like it would put me to sleep, but I enjoy the buzz.
