[Weed Deals] Juicy Fruit Hybrid Review | 3.9/5
This bud looked similar to the other Fruit Punch we had (healthy stem, well cured, a bit leafy but long buds) so I was excited to try it. Not only did it have the potential to be fruity (from 'Juicy Fruit) but had a very typical 'pot' look that we dont see too often anymore.
The bud, tho very green and fresh, was a bit darker with little redhairs and some tints of purple. The bud consisted of what seemed to be smaller buds that were easy to pick off the still-green stem. Because of this even tho the smaller buds (attached to the stem) were dense, the overall appearance gave it a very fluffy, light look. The buds themselves were nice and whole rather than popcorn which was a nice surprise, shows the care taken when growing.
There wasn't a crazy smell to it, def. not the 'fruity' smell we were expecting. It was more of a light, mellow 'rotten fruit' / stinky smell, reminded me a bit stunky. Although it would have been nicer if it was super fruity we tend to find stinky / pungent smells to be sweet and unique in the vaporizer. Even when cracked open we did get a BIT of a sweet smell, but more of a light stinky smell which dominated it.
Grinding it maintained the same darkish color (very green) with hints of purples but no red hairs to be seen. It was very sticky (Stuck to itself and to my hands) which was a nice surprise, perhaps demonstrating the medium-high THC and freshness.
The vaping experience was pretty mediocre: a very very light sweet taste (something we guess from the stinky smell) with a bit of a rotten/woody flavor as well. It wasn't THE strongest in the vape and would have enjoyed it more if it had a bit more flavor. Cranking it to 195 and letting it sit for a bit did yield a very fruity smell but didn't last long.
Where this bud really shined was smoking. It left a light grey with white specks of ash but burned smooth, VERY light on the lungs and nice thick smoke. The effects kicked in almost immediately and was a very sativa-ish, behind-the-eye buzz, alert, awake, social feeling but with no anxiety or stress. The only time I felt a sort of 'hybrid' feel to it was once in a while you would daydream and lose focus but had no couch lock or relaxing effect. A very good 'morning' bud to get you through the day rather than something you would want to smoke at night.
Overall, for this price (<150$ / o) it was pretty good for the money. WOULD have been nicer if it was bit better trimmed and maybe had a strong vape taste, but it smoked really well with very strong effects (the buzz lasted quite a long time and had no burn out) and was nice to see a more 'typical' looking bud like we had here. Although not something I would show off to friends it's something I would get for a day-to-day smoke.
