Mainland Cannabis

**Shipping/Packaging**

Three day shipping to Toronto from Vancouver and arrived safely in a small cardboard box, keeping everything within safe. No odour as well, with the contents being efficiently vacuum sealed.

**Four Star General**
Image
This Four Star General is a strain I've vaguely heard of but never had a chance to try it. It's a cross of four different dawg strains, including Chemdawg, Stardawg, and Tresdawg, which make for a very crazy mix. I was blown away by how alien these buds look with the dark purples and greens. The orange hairs really pop in contrast as do the blanket of trichomes. The buds are properly cured and sticky as well, with a decent trim to boot.

The aromas ooze off this bud and even more when ground up. A combination of sweet and sour earth with herbal and floral undertones. An overall really pungent and dank profile. Translates nicely to taste when smoked and the diesel really overpowers. Reminded me of a good sour diesel or chemdawg instantly with hints of sweet herbs and earth on the exhale.

At first, the high acts like a hybrid with a heady type stone that's felt behind the eyes. Like a true creeper strain it slowly starts to take effect, starting from the legs up. Relaxing and tingly body buzz that takes over with a lazy couch locking high. Definitely a potent indica that is both very euphoric and sedating.

**Orange Cookies**
Image
This is one of the only few cookie strains that I've yet to try and based on the bag appeal, it doesn't look like it can disappoint. Green, chunky buds that are absolutely littered in frosty trichs and thin orange hairs. Trim is real neat with minimal leaf, giving a more tighter appearance. Probably the most stickiest one I've tried yet in this order.

The aromas and flavours are subtle but pleasant. Citrus/orange overtones with spicy/peppery undertones. Not an overpowering sour and zesty type citrus but more of a sweet tangerine one. It's not as pronounced in taste when smoking it vs vaping, but it burns smooth and clean, producing a very light ash.

The buzz is definitely on the sativa leaning hybrid side, bringing on bouts of energy minus the paranoia/anxiety. Some relaxing body effects too without any immobilizing or tiresome feelings. Smoked some before work and it made me quite productive.

**Cali Mist**

These buds just scream sativa from the very typical structure they are sporting. Considered a lower thc strain and believed to be a cross of Y Griega and Arjens Strawberry Haze. Tons of winding orange hairs on these round, fluffy nugs, and a good amount of trichomes too. Also a neat trim with virtually no leaf. Slightly sticky as well and breaks up nice and fluffy in the grinder.

Has a really unique combination of aromas that takes a while to fully process. Has that peppery and sweet sativa smell at first that many strains carry, but then also some really sharp notes of citrus and pine. The taste is very similar and definitely a pallet tickler with it's peppery and herbal nature. Salt and pepper ash on this one.

I can tell it's not a high thc strain but that's not a bad thing at all as some of my most memorable highs are from lower potency strains such as California orange. Very clear headed and focused head high that almost feels like a distillate buzz. Can smoke this stuff with no worries of getting tired or burned out and it's also quite uplifting. Can wear off a little quicker but it's great for a wake and bake and still being functional.

**Cheesequake**
Image
I've had a lot of cheese strains over time but never Cheesequake which is a cross of Cheese x Querkle. This one came sticky and neatly trimmed, sporting healthy shades of greens with fiery orange hairs. Super frosty with tons of visible and undisturbed trichomes, especially on the inside.

At first, the aroma is a little cheesy with some sweet undertones. Once ground up, the cheese  fades, paving way for the fruity/grapey notes coming from it's parent strain Querkle. Reminds me of a grape popsicle. The taste is a little tamer but still flavourful and very smooth on the lungs. Burns a light grey ash in a joint and pipe.

The high doesn't need much time to take effect. Heady and euphoric followed by a very calming/relaxing vibe. Like most cheese variants, this one also checks the social box as it can make one quite talkative. Not at all sedating but can produce a slight burnout due to the potency. Instant fan of this cross.

**Alien OG**
Image
I know I said this last time but this may be the best alien og I've had lately. From bag appeal to terps to potency, everything is super consistent. Buds are dense and tightly trimmed, sporting pretty shades of purples and greens complimented by tiny orange pistils. Pretty sticky too with a decent frosting of trichs.

The terp profile is a mix of earthy lemon with subtle notes of nutty pine. Translates rather nicely over to the taste with a sweet, yet sour tinge accompanied by lemon/piney accents. Real flavorful, as well as smooth and clean burning, producing a light coloured ash.

Surging rush to the head with a cerebral high, accompanied by a very calming and relaxing body buzz that's suitable for any time of the day. Pretty potent and long lasting as well with a bit of a burn out in higher amounts. As a lover of OGs, this one fits the bill.

**Violator Kush**
Image
Got this violator not too long ago from Mainland and this batch is quite the same more or less. And I mean that in a very good way. Frosty, light green buds that appear as very greasy and resinous. Fantastic trim as well, with tiny orange hairs and minimal leaf. Great moisture levels too as the buds are sticky all throughout.

Very iconic and memorable violator profile. Sweet and earthy with spicy and creamy notes from the Malana. Such a unique and distinctive smell that I can never get enough of. The taste is exactly the same and translates perfectly with it's spicy and creamy profile. Smooth on the lungs, burning a very light grey ash.

I can smoke this stuff all day no matter the occasion. Very mellow and relaxed with a real stoney vibe that results in a body buzz. Not much sedation or burn out compared to other indicas, making it a popular strain for some. Been really loving mainland's violator lately, not only for its potency and terps, but for the consistency.

**Bluefin Tuna**
Image
Really love this strain and second time trying Mainland's which is on point. Seems like a slightly different batch this time in appearance, as the buds are darker in colour, with more purples and orange hairs. Real sticky and heavily caked in trichs, and a careful and precise trim.

The smell and taste are just as dank as it looks. Gassy and pungently kushy with deep notes of tuna that linger, especially on exhale. A little less of a sweet berry like the last batch and more on the gas side. Really stinks up a room in seconds. Very enjoyable and smooth despite the thick smoke it produces. It also burns a very light ash.

This stuff is insanely heavy and potent, as well as long lasting, producing a strong head high and lazy body buzz. Gives a real stoney vibe and can be quite sedating as it hit me pretty hard after half a joint. Doesn't take much and I usually end up smoking the second half later lol. Effective indica for sleep too!

**Incentive**

These samples were offered for honest reviews.

**Final Notes**

Another impressive round of strains consisting of some different ones as well this time. Once again, all the flower was very fresh and healthy looking, with great cures and flushes. Nothing burned dark or overly harsh and each strain was accurate to it's description. The folks at Mainland are also very kind and friendly, making for an overall great MoM experience.
