Gelato

It was an easy choice to start off this line up of reviews with Gelato as it's been one of my favourite hybrids since day 1. Sporting a darker colour profile with shades of greens and purples, this Gelato is coated in a layer of greasy trichomes with a scarce amount of stubby orange pistils. A long and conical bud structure that holds in a good amount of moisture and stickiness. Very well cured but the trim could be just a smidge tighter.

This Gelato offers a sweet and creamy aroma profile that almost smells like a lotion of sorts. Breaking it apart introduces subtle notes of citrus and earth to the mix. The terps translate to flavour, providing those same sweet and creamy notes that are followed by hints of citrus and earth. While not the terpiest Gelato I've had it's still quite tasty and super smooth smoking.

Fairly potent hybrid effects, producing strong heady sensations that are accompanied by joyful bouts of euphoria. Relaxing as well, providing quite the lackadaisical buzz. It gets stronger over time and can easily have you locked into the couch with your motivation quickly diminishing. Doesn't however leave you too tired, which is great for lounging out or watching some after dinner tv.

OG Shark

This OG Shark sports dense and chunky structured buds that are greasy and finely trimmed. Forest green in colour with hues of purple, both overshadowed by a mix of dark orange pistils and a heavy dusting of frosty white trichomes. Perfectly cured with an optimal moisture level as the buds are real sticky and form a kinetic sand like clump when they are ground up. Rolls itself in a joint as it glues itself to the paper.

A very pungent smelling strain, with a profile that emits heavy notes of sweet kush and rich pine, followed by strong undertones of gas and musky earth with some peppery accents as well. The terps become further pronounced when smoked, delivering thick and flavorful plumes of gas and pine with an earthy, musky, spicy kush finish. Heavy on the lungs, yet still fairly smooth and forgiving, all while burning a clean light ash with a hefty oil ring.

Your typical indica high but with more emphasis on the sedative, physical effects. It's very heady at first however, with mellow, euphoric vibes that go hand in hand with it's buzzing body high. Heavily relaxing and calming, all while leaving you peacefully glued to the couch. It progresses into a real lazy and zoned out stone that can eventually result in a long nap.

G Wiz

An aesthetically pleasing batch of G Wiz, producing moderately sticky nugs that display shades of light and forest greens that are heavily populated by thick clusters of orange hairs. Abundantly frosty as well, with an impressive amount of milky trichomes, sporting some of the most caked looking sugar leaf I ever did see. Dense in structure and very nicely cured.

Powerful and pungent aromas of sweet herbal pine complimented by rich floral overtones. Translates superbly over to the taste but with an added creaminess, further complimenting the floral pine terps. Savoury and slightly gassy at times, resulting in an extremely palatable smoke. Smooth for the most part, though the burn could be a touch better as it leaves a behind a darker grey ash.

Potent, hybrid-like effects that begin immediately with a wave of heady sensations right after the initial toke. Very uplifting and euphoric, providing mood enhancing qualities followed by social vibes. Great for anytime of the day as it leaves you heavily medicated, yet functional enough to stay active. It could potentially leave one a little tired afterwards depending on tolerance. Probably my favourite out of these samples except for the burn.

Mike Tyson

This Mike Tyson is quite easy on the eyes and looks the exact same as other times I've had it. Finely trimmed, well cured nugs, displaying shades of pine green, accented by dark purple sugar leaf and thin, fiery orange pistils. Heavily greasy and frosty, packing a healthy amount of intact trichome heads inside and out. Very dense as well, with a sticky and gooey structure that requires some effort when prying a bud apart.

Deep notes of sweet diesel gas accented by hints of herbal pine, growing stronger when broken up. It just doesn't seem as loud and pungent as the OG Shark or Pink Kush. Translates finely over to the taste, producing dank flavours of diesel and pine, followed by hints of earth and spices. Extremely enjoyable as it's effortlessly smooth on the inhale, allowing for some larger than average tokes. Burns clean as well, leaving behind a light ash and decent sized oil ring.

Not a high that wastes much time getting to work, feeling the effects almost instantly in the form of a buzzing pressure behind the eyes that eventually spreads to the rest of the body. Very relaxing and couch locking as well, making it insanely easy to get stuck in a lazy state. Definitely recommend for evening use with it's indica dominant characteristics.

Grandmaster Tuna
Image

This Grandmaster Tuna arrived as a dense, 3 gram nug, sporting various shades of forest greens and purples, all accented by thin fiery pistils. Neatly trimmed and very frosty, displaying a tight and compact layer of milky trich heads. Also nicely cured as the buds are heavily sticky and resinous, making it especially easy to clog your grinder if you aren't mindful of how much you're putting in.

A pungently dank profile producing strong notes of skunky kush accented by hints of earth and fuel. Very robust and almost funky at times, paying homage to the tuna in its lineage. Translates accurately to the taste, providing rich flavours of herbal gas followed by a tuna kush dankness on exhale. Really makes for a pleasant and smooth smoke despite the expansiveness. Burns decently clean too, leaving behind a grey ash that's complimented by a greasy resin ring.

The high this one offers leans heavily to the indica side, producing relaxing and lethargic vibes that are complimented by a mellow, slow thinking head stone. A few tokes is all you need to feel it's narcotic effects and perhaps all you need to call it a night as it can indeed lead to some sedation, especially with a lower tolerance. Would recommend for evening use or those times where you want to lazily veg out during the day.

MAC #1 x Dosidos
Image

Love the cross on this strain, bringing together the likes of MAC #1 and Dosidos to create a dessert inspired powerhouse. Arriving in smaller sized buds that have an ultra dense and tight composition to them and weigh much heavier than one would initially guess. Displaying a vibrant light green appearance and a plethora of inviting orange pistils that heavily stand out in contrast. Decent trichome coverage as well, followed by a terrific cure and trim. Prying open the rock solid nugs reveal a semi sticky texture that is far from dry but also not of grinder clogging status.

Savoury and pungent notes of creamy, fruity citrus, followed by hints of spices that seem to get more pronounced with each sniff. I've always loved the profile of MAC and MAC #1 but the inclusion of Dosidos takes it to the next level. Translates over to the taste, providing those same sweet and creamy flavours of fruity citrus and peppery funk, filling the air with such lovely and distinct MAC aromas. Very smooth smoking with zero harshness, providing a milky smoke, light coloured ash, and decently sized oil ring.

A potent sativa hybrid buzz that first begins with a surging and euphoria induced head stone that's eventually met with mellow, calming qualities as well. Really gives you that head in the clouds feeling, making your thoughts clash with each other. It's not overbearing however and can sometimes act the opposite way depending on what you're doing and instead offer more of a focused high. Perfect for daytime use as it leaves you uplifted and functional without the common sativa anxiety/racy effects.

Rest in Peace

Arriving in mostly smaller sized nugs, this Rest In Peace was a difficult one to get a good depiction when judging it's overall appeal. Buds are comprised of faded dark purples and greens, highlighted by peach coloured pistils and milky white trichomes. Moderately dense, though just a tad crispy on the outsides. I imagine this was sticky at one point but it's now easily breakable by hand. Also a touch leafy in spots.

The profile on this one is strangely unique and took some getting used to. Aromas of sour berries and flowers, followed by a bitter, skunky finish. Quite funky, especially when smoked, where it delivers flavours of bitter fruit and earth. Not my most sought after profiles, but unique nonetheless. The smoke is rather smooth but looses some points for a darker ash.

Fairly potent in effects, producing a mellow, euphoric head stone that bodes well with it's complimenting couch lock. Instantly eases away any stress or negativity with it's soothing, carefree nature. Can easily lead to a long and restful nap if not used to sedating indicas.

Pink Kush
Image

A very sticky and greasy batch of Pink Kush, packed with resinous trichome heads that leave the fingers coated after handling. Showcasing a dark green appearance that's met with streaks of purple and a multitude of thin copper pistils. Excellent cure with a neat trim as well. This one is definitely suited for the use of a grinder where it breaks up to an ideal texture that makes for effortless joint rolling.

Dank aromas of earth and gas that are met with undertones of floral-vanilla. Very pungent yet sweet, being my preferred pink profile. The taste is identical, providing a thick and robust smoke that carries over notes of gas and floral earth with subtle vanilla intricacies. Not harsh but very heavy, needing a couple minutes to recuperate after a large exhale but more so in a bong than a joint where it's a little more forgiving. The burn is slow and greasy, producing a salt and pepper ash that is consistent from start to finish.

A heavy and potent mix of physical and cerebral effects, both coming together to form a full bodied, indica leaning stone. Heady and euphoric at first, providing a real zoned out and spacey high. It's not long where the couch lock kicks in, thus leaving you peaceful and content to remain relaxed. Not a real knockout, giving this pk the leniency to be smoked even in the afternoon.
