Ordering & Pricing: Website no longer exists but functioned by login only. Additional products through Discord where they seemed to focus.

Communication: Answered questions and was very accommodating for a first time customer. Bryce was professional enough to agree that his remaining batch of LM flower was contaminated by mold but it took 1+ month to replace it.

Packaging: Well packaged in a box and vacuum seal. Xpress posted across the country in 1 day. Flower inside ziplock bags. Nice glass containers for concentrates but low quality syringes for distillate.

(bud rot) Lemon Meringue $150/oz - More pictures Review: Clearly this had potential to be high quality flower. The areas visibly affected within the bud structure are small but could be spreading mycelia and conidia (spores). Medium-large size nugs contain grey/black hairs which stands out noticeably by eye from the otherwise pristine looking buds. Smells of interesting but dulled cookies terps that are distinctly missing from affected areas of the bud.

THC distillate $30/g Review: Thin and on the darker red side. Somewhat lacking potency when dabbed compared to another budget raw distillate which is thicker and lighter coloured. Doubting the 92% Delta-9 THC lab test legitimacy for these and other reasons. The oxidized colouration could indicate it being higher in CBN and Delta-8 THC which should be significantly less potent as an edible but I've yet to try. Low-quality plastic syringes that contained between 0.95g and 0.99g as compared to an emptied 1g. Still it's worth the low cost and being thinner works well in vape carts.

Lemon Meringue FSE "Lot 14" $40/g Review: Made from the same flower so not surprising that it's lacking flavour compared to most shatter. Potent but melts fairly dark which can be difficult to dab after knowing what it's made from. This was the pricier "Lot 14" batch that only showed shortly on the website, the rest apparently making its way to MoMs/cannabis markets with their other FSE strains.

Strawberry Banana budder $25/g Review: Great budder with a consistency of a chewable caramel candy. Not wet as it might look but very flavourful, smells and tastes like a dissolving viatmin C pill from those tube containers. Takes some time to melt but the oil is quite clean with little residue and gives off strong indica potency.

Incentive for Customers: Package included 3.5g of Blood Bubba flower sample. Unfortunately the LM included mold and being strung along for a month.

Incentive for Review: Share my experience with a MoM and extractor that is considered established/trusted.

Notes:

Mold can sneak by undetected if breaking up in the dark or not looking inside nugs before grinding. It stood out to me as "something wrong" despite having not dealt with this type before. I can't fully blame sellers for mold contamination but I expect them to consider customer health and resolve the issue once informed.

Timeline and emails:
May 31st - email cottonwoods about the mold but the messages bounce.
June 2nd - secondary email provided through a thread on this forum.
June 3rd - Bryce responds on secondary email. Confirms his remaining batch is contaminated by bud rot/botrytis, offers to replace contaminated product but continues to list it for sale.
June 5th - Agrees to remove the remaining Lemon Meringue from the site, "a replacement will be sent right away" and then delays the process by asking what type of strains I like and ignoring my response.
June 11th - I wait a week before following up.
June 15th-18th - Start tracking cottonwoods down in discord. If online he ignores my messages and goes offline soon after. Hasn't been seen in the weeks since.
June 18th - emails to say he's shutting down the website and replacement to be sent tomorrow. Skeptical of course but one can only hope and wait in this situation.
June 20th - Last communication received.
June 21st+ Follow up on both email addresses and discord but no answer despite them getting through without bouncing.
July 5th - Tracking number received
July 9th - Replacement flower received. Extra 2g of distillate included.

I tried their FSE and it was absolute garbage. This company has no clue what their doing, preforming only partial dewaxes on their oils, no wonder it tasted like ass with all that paraffin in my dab. Seeing that their weed is mouldy and was run into an oil, the oil is most likely also contaminated. This company was fast and quick to respond at the time but oh man, deffinitely the worst fse ive had (taste wise) . Their testing was done by canvas analytics lol a company that regularly shows weed not comparing in quality to gastown or hgbc at 25-30% THC.... like lets be real here that but was no 29% THC let alone cannabinoids. So what have we learned so far about cotton woods? They don't understand how to store weed, they don't understand good customer service, they dont understand how to make concentrates (even their shatter tasted like asshole) and they use fake test results on distillate so cut with mct oil it doesn't even weigh a gram in the syringes lol. DO NOT ORDER

And now he’s slinging this stuff on JJ’s . Stuff like this totally puts me off from trying new moms, I had a direct conversation with him on Discord and almost placed a big order but he goes MIA on there quite a bit too. Definitely steering clear from him going forward.

JJ meds is reselling shitty FSE that tastes like ass at retarded pricing. I officially have given up on every site i thought would be decent (((

Actually yes. A tracking number was received, I will update shortly.

Replacement received July 9th in the form of Screwhead OG flower. Review has been updated.

First impressions are that it's very sticky and smells fresh though after smoking a joint I feel it might need additional jar time to develop its terps and possibly bring humidity levels down.

Also included was 2x 1g of distillate with the replacement and it looks lighter in colour than what I received initially. Seems like a newer batch, viscosity is about the same but feels slightly more potent when dabbed. It continues to work well in vape carts and the two syringes were filled to the top. Any major issues I had with my Cottonwoods order have now been resolved.
