Strawberry Cough AAA - 9.5/10
I can’t believe I didn’t try this strain earlier just because of the name (no coughing in the vape by the way). What an excellent experience. The buds are sticky and springy, caked in a layer of trichome madness which glows almost amber in the light. Underneath that amber-green coat of snow, the leafy parts are deep hunter green, and a tan wave of crystals covers each petal to the core. Periodically I find spots of rich purple, reminding me of strawberries in jam. It tastes like strawberries without the sugary parts, not completely a dessert strain, tasty.
It smokes to a white ash and it tastes like strawberry jam. I did cough when I smoked it though.
It’s a $150 ounce. Tickles me throughly. If I didn’t have so much weed already to go through I’d be buying some more.
Frosty God AAA - 8.5/10
Refreshing minty profile. Nicely cured nugs with sticky terp trails running all the way into the core, but dry on the outside. This is for me the ideal humidity point, if not a bit fresher… I find it provides the best experience to smoke and vape, since it stays lit and holds humidity.
Smokes to a motley blend of white, gray, and black ash, I coughed a bit but eh, I don’t smoke all the time. Let’s talk about the smoked flavor, which is pure menthol, cooling in the throat and lungs, very much a hot summer day smoke. One lil smoked bowl sent me rolling off into some other place where I was in tears from how happy I was, like it just ripped this cap off the joy fountain and sent some waves rolling in. I was hoping for a creativity booster, and instead I found bliss.
The vaped experience is less severe, but still extremely menthol-dominant in flavor.
Purple Bubba AAA - 7.3/10
Hilariously this strain is not purple compared to the other two. Don’t trick yourself into using this at night because it’s called “purple” and “bubba”, this is more of a social evening strain, a great date night option. The smell has a gassy sweetness and an undertone of berry notes, quite nice. It’s on the drier side. It doesn’t crumble though, and still has some stickiness. Smokes dark gray and pretty harsh but WOW does it ever taste good. It brings out this incredible blueberry grape sweetness which is almost like candy. I highly recommend smoking this strain. In the vape it’s a delicate sweetness but nothing I’d write home about. But I would write to my mother about the grape jam smoke. Smoke it. Doo itttttt.
GG#4 Kief - 7/10
I love sprinkling some kief into a bowl to beef it up, so that’s what I did with this. It is flavorful and somewhat aromatic, attacking the flavor profile of whatever weed I combined it with and changing it to something akin to liquorice/anise/fennel… a warming pungent herbal taste which is incredibly distinct. I threw some on Death Bubba from Pacific Cannabis to create a knock-you-out bowl of sleepiness, since the strains I selected from Caviar Canna were not great pairs for GG#4. I tested it with Purple Bubba and it overwhelmed the berry notes, for example. What I would recommend is tossing this on some less flavorful or less potent strain that was intended to be either a pungent, gassy, skunky, or herbal experience, or pressing it to smoke if that’s your thing. It kind of reminded me of fisherman's friends cough drops...
In closing:
