Most of the time you get a "packing slip received" notice first. This happens when the MOM submits a request to the company, but they might not have the package in hand yet. Then you'll usually get an "item in transit" that can last 1-2 days usually in the originating city or close... Then during the night you'll get an update from the closest big city to destination.. and next morning you get a "package out for delivery" and finally a last message that says "package delivered".
You apparently are on step 2, the transit phase.. Package is in one of the big sorting centers and waiting to be shipped by truck/plane to the closest center to destination. While it's a bit surprising it's still there after 2 days, it happens. My guess is you'll get an update during the night or very early morning that says it's near you.... Then tomorrow or Friday you'll get the package.
