Hi guys,

What are your tips for using cannabis for the first time?

Which strains (indica/sativa/hybrid etc) would you choose and why?

If you could go back in time, what things would you do differently to get the best experience?

I'm an old fart so apples and oranges comparing my day to now. I grew up in a hash oil town where weed was a treat when you could get it. The words indica/sativa weren't in our vocabulary then and strain name was irrelevant. It was grass. We also paid $80 a quarter at a time when minimum wage was under $8. It would be hard to dream of what it is today. I mean I always hoped it would be decriminalized but never in my wettest dreams did I think I could go on my computer, click a few buttons then 2 days later Canada Post would bring me weed I chose off a menu. Oh and my bank would make it easy as hell to do so and offer me a recourse to get my money back if my electronic drug dealer ever fucked me over!

Anyways, I'm going down a rabbit hole. My advice to any first timer is start slow and low. Some people have very little tolerance while others take more to get there. If I could go back and choose a controlled strain I'd get a 1to1 THC/CBD. It's a nice mellow high without an indica couch lock or cocaine like sativa effects.

Honestly, do it with someone who has some experience, they'll lead you through your first couple times and it should become smooth sailing.

Start low and go slow is the best way. Creeper weed is a real thing, so just take it easy. Have some CBD oil on deck in case you consume too much THC, take a few drops and that should help level you out. Eating / smoking, very different so research that as well.
