Hello everyone, it has come to my attention that KingTuts.ca is thinning his distillate carts with triethyl citrate.

There was a test done with triethyl citrate on rats: It took only six hours of breathing 1300 ppm vaporized Triethyl Citrate before half the rats in that study died. 1300 ppm =0.13%

Please think twice before spending your money at KingTuts. He is clearly in this for profits and not the patients.

TOXICITY PROFILE FOR TRIETHYL CITRATE (1998)

Triethyl citrate was not an irritant to the skin of humans and laboratory animals. In dilute form, it showed no sensitizing potential in humans. Acute toxicity was low by the oral, dermal and inhalation routes in laboratory animals.

Single oral treatment caused kidney damage in rats, and central nervous system (CNS) effects were seen following oral or injection administration to various species of laboratory animal. In limited studies, repeated oral doses were tolerated by rats but caused liver damage in dogs and CNS effects in cats.

Rats exposed repeatedly to the vapour showed lung damage. Triethyl citrate was non-carcinogenic when given orally to rats in a limited study and was non-mutagenic in an Ames bacterial test and in yeast. Its hydrolysis products are citric acid and ethanol.

PSA: HotDogPhil is the FURTHEST thing from a doctor or scientist that one can imagine...

Lol when it comes right down to it, none of this is regulated or tested and how do you know what other people actually put in their carts? At least he was honest.... I've never bought carts though and never will.

And also, is there even sufficient evidence this is harmful? I haven't researched it but a quick google search tells me there haven't been many studies. Not saying it's safe, and I don't even really care.

Hi Hotdog Phil. I appreciate you sharing the information! I have never been one to shy away from any questions from potential members or members questions. In our carts, as we discussed (because you simply asked), we use a thinning agent called Tec Temper, by Abstrax. They are a leading distributor for Vape Products, including Cannabis Terpenes. We have been asked many times what we use and have always been honest. As little as I vape, I use my own products as well.

As far as needing a thinning agent, our Distillate is probably 4-5 times thicker than Honey at ROOM temperature.

You would have needed to see the earlier part of his message to me. He said something along the lines of "You just want to make a profit" As a business owner, I was not sure how else to reply to a statement or accusation like that. I was having a bit of fun with someone accusing a business of wanting to make a profit.

For the members that know me and us, I'd think they would be ok with us making some profit. It's kind of tough to build a business, offer more products and better deals if we don't. You would be the absolute first person EVER to mention not giving us a try due to my lack of reply or interaction with members and potential members.

How else could the ask have been better handled? He asked what we use, I replied with the EXACT ingredient ASAP. I replied on both forms of chat rooms, here and the live chat.

Hey KT. I just got my 4x master Kush syringes, and it’s really runny - like e-liquid runny. Other distillates I’ve had to heat up to get out of the syringe, but this flew right into my CCell. Any reason?

There is or was such a great potential to have other MoMs in here, shooting the shit, answering questions and enjoying the community like anyone else. Why do you think so many don't bother? Yes, the Master Kush and others (in plastic syringes) are thinned to about 74% THC. We use the thinning agent mentioned and very high end terps. The same consistency is what we found to work best in our 510 carts and our SC420 pods.

For the super thick stuff that needs to be heated to get out, try out our Distillates in the Glass Syringes (as high as 98% THC). We have found that for safety reasons, it's much safer to heat the Glass, more so than the plastic. The plastic is simply ready to be pumped into your cart. The distillate in our carts is the exact same consistency.
