Seeds, a common MoM occurrence?

1
Hi there, it's my first post here. I am here to ask a question about my last two orders, which were also my first mom orders ever.

First time, from Flawless, the Swiss bliss had seeds in it. I noticed way too late and had already contacted them for no reason, long story short, I didn't bother them with that and picked them out. Was a good smoke.

Now the last one, from bwos, the Very Berry haze has even more seeds that are extremely small, no way to pick them all out so of course, it tastes pretty bad when smoked. Notes of manure are to be expected.. ugh. I contacted them Saturday and am awaiting a response. I should mention that the product had two 5-star review..

Makes me wonder, are buds full of seeds the standard for medium-low grade herb in the MoM world? Do I have unrealistic expectations or am I that unlucky? Also, should I just accept it or is this cause for replacement/partial refund? Thanks in advance.

I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of seeds I found in MOM weed, so no, it's definitely not a standard or even remotely common. It happens more in cheaper/budget weed. Unless specified on the product sale page, it's usually a point warranting a refund (partial or complete depending on how bad it is) or replacement.

Probably part bad luck, part time of year. I got my first seedy order a couple weeks ago. First time I've had that problem in years of online ordering. Mine was tiny immature seeds. Got a 50% refund.

Seen a lot of complaints in the last month. I think this summer's demand has depleted a lot of stock and we've been seeing some sub par shit at some MOMs. I'm hoping by Oct the priced drop a bit and the quality improves

8 out of the 98 finished/published cultivars in our Strain Database currently have had seeds.

Of those eight, only 2 were meaningful occurrences:
- one was a first-purchase oz of a discounted 'quad' with tons of premie seeds, became annoying to grind/smoke. source didn't deal with it, we haven't been back
- one was some disappointing craft flower that we later found to have some seedy nugs, was replaced without hesitation by The BH.Othority

It's pretty bad, I do my best to pick them out but they're tiny immature seeds and I must miss some because it taste like crap.

I guess I'll look around for a new mom. Maybe give Flawless another chance since at least they answered when I contacted them. Thank you guys for chiming in.
