I'm really happy to announce that we've fixed the spam issue!
From now on, new users will be put in the "Newly registered members" group, which means that their posts will be filtered and sent to the mod queue for approval.
Once a user has 1 approved post, they will be moved to the "Members" group, where their posts will no longer be filtered.
This means that if a member is a spammer, we will remove them before they are ever seen by the public.
Cheers,
Capt & Mod team
PS: Thanks for all the post reports etc which were really helpful in fighting the spam
Re: [Announcement] Spam issue has been fixed!
2That's work until the spammer adapts and read that announcement.

4Haha, I was thinking about that! Technically, they could pretend to be real members for 1 post, then start spamming. I don't think the bots are smart enough for that thoughmsa wrote: Thu Aug 09, 2018 2:17 pm That's work until the spammer adapts and read that announcement.![]()
