Credit Card Processing?

1
Hey everyone!
We've come in contact with a cannabis-friendly credit card processing company and now have the potential opportunity to process credit cards on our site.
Before we do this, we wanted to get your thoughts.

Pros of this would be simplified payment for customers, transactions on bank statements would not have any indication that the payment came from a cannabis-related company.

However, it still wouldn't be as confidential as e-transfers, so maybe you would prefer to just keep things the way they are now.

Let us know what you think!

At first the whole idea of e-transfers seems like a hassle, but once you get into MOMs it's really effortless and not that big of a deal. I think this would appeal to newer and first time customers, as it is akin to their usual online purchases, thus making it less "sketchy". But atleast for myself, I'm indifferent to any change.

I don't think I'd use a credit card, my impulse is to only spend money I have so e-transfer plays to my sensibilities since I'm forced to enter my bank account, look directly at exactly how much money I have and manually transfer out that money. I have to think about the whole process just enough to ensure I don't go crazy and buy every single marijuana I want. I never have impulse control if I let myself use credit, so I just don't.

2 issues I see:

1. Since all credit card companies are inherently American, I'd be scared of losing the privilege of traveling to the USA because of this. EMTs are Canadian, so the risk is much lower of this kind of cross reference happening.

2. For the MOM itself, I'd be totally scared of chargebacks. Not being legal businesses, your recourse to fight back any unwarranted refunds would be absolutely nil. Credit cards are 100% consumer biased when it comes to that. Good stuff for buyers, but imagine if people start ordering pounds and just chargeback. What are you gonna do then? Call the police?
