Monthly Subscription Service

1
Hi all,

I have been smoking for the past 4-5 years and have developed structure and tolerance over time. I smoke approximately an OZ a month. Right now that Oz is being sourced in 7/14g batches from Craft growers or companies that source from Craft Growers (Coastal Wild Fire, First Class Medicinal, Astro Pink adn now Kream) - pushing my cost to be pretty close to 280$-340$ with shipping per month - but the variety and quality has been on point. I am an Indica lover, I wouldn't mind the occasional sativa (as lng as it is something like a Bruce Banner - potent).

Is there a MoM or company that would send me an Oz as a subscription basis and give me like say 4 strains of fire every month. Eg - Month 1 - 7g Apple Pie (Hierba), 7g Peyote Cookies (Organic Bro), 7g Violator Kush (TheRaveda) and 7g Pink Tuna (Tuna Farmer).

Am I thinking too far ahead - is there something like this out there? Let me know if I am missing anything.

JV back soon?

Well they might not have the same legal and customer service support like services such as Amazon Prime, Netflix and say apple. But if a good company came through - I wouldn't mind subscribing to a plan. Wouldn't that be enticing and get overall costs down in the long run?

For example - I have bought 4 times of CWF - There was one order (not even order, one product from one of the orders) that was not satisfactory. They gave me 50% off and shipping costs refunded and they acknowledged my concerns to be valid. I wouldn't mind sending them 200-300$ (not 350$, sorry CE) per month, if I am spending it anyways. Its just pain staking to see all these craft producers online like Hub CIty, TheRaveda, Gorilla Cannabis, Professor (the MAC creator), HighgradeBC and then chase them to find distributors and then beg the distributors to ship a small amount ....

we have mix and match ozs ranging from $160 to the highest costing one at $225 (which includes the strains Tom Ford, Trump Kush, Pink Tuna, Dank Schrader and Gelato - you pick 4 quarters of what you want to make the oz).
We also offer free shipping after $150 (so any mix and match oz would qualify for that) - as well as 10% off with CMOM10 at checkout (which brings our highest costing mix and match oz to just over $200)
We usually will put all our new additions into mix and match ozs as well, so there really wouldnt even be the need for any type of subscription service with us.
and if our in-house craft grower didnt grow it, it was sourced locally from craft growers around the GTA.

I have seen this done.. I forget where. But I’m positive I’ve seen it. However, I agree with xsinx, this is black market, I wouldn’t pay for a subscription to anything.

Your best bet is to form a close relationship with a few moms.. stayed informed with the new upcoming strains. And order the ones that fit your needs. Just so you’re not paying for flower you’re never going to finish (like I did).

For ex I’ve been messaging coastal back and fourth and getting their input on which strains would be best for me. And I’m confident my order on Wednesday will be very choice shit.

If you like coastal stay tuned for their announcement this week. You’ll like it since you’re an indica lover. I’m already talking to them about sending a sampler of the shit that’s gonna drop on Friday.

I got two other moms that text me whenever they get crazy new drops.. there’s no real need to get a subscription with how friendly some of these places are. Sky high is another place that is consistent with dropping excellent premium flower. I’m high on their black cherry punch.. it’s some very good stuff. I’ve had a pretty strong body buzz for the last hour straight... don’t cuff yourself to one mom!!!!!

ps the big fella is coming soon. Hope I see a JV3

Sounds like a perfect mix and match scenario every month. Sure we offer it and have the quads and seem to be right in the price range but I'm sure others do as well. Maybe a touch of communication prior to each purchase to get a recommendation from your MoM prior to purchase as wll. That's what I would do. Find one that rewards you for your loyalty :) Maybe one that offers a rewards program that will build up over time and maybe get that November and December order free or close to it :)

We have looked at the subscription method but without an auto credit card payment every month taken out, I'm not sure how it would work. We don't do CC, maybe others might? I wouldn't feel comfortable taking money for the year for a subscription, at this point anyways....

Put your order in once a month, it's a few clicks of the buttons and you keep the control.

Good solid post KT. I agree. Keep the control in your hands.

Edit: ps I revisited some of your grease monkey this past weekend and I forgot how much I enjoyed it. I usually hoard the last big nug from my orders. Why? I’m not sure.. but I always do it.

Anyway.. I found the high to be extremely long. Usually I crash after 30-40mins.. but the monkey seemed to last 90min or so.

Did I see a post where you said you’d be offering cans? Did I read that correctly?

I'm sure we can take this convo privately but it would be rude to make it look like your question was not also addressed publicly :)

Yeah the Grease Monkey has been a hit and well received for those that have bought it! It is a bit pricey @ $219 an OZ but I feel it's a fair grade of a quad. There's only 5 reviews or comments on that certain strain but all positive on the site! They give some nice feed back on it's effects and all. I think we are kinda known for having a quality $99 ounce along with having some very nice extracts at a very fair price BUT those that give our higher end products a go... are usually quite pleased.

Yes, we have Tuna Kush in a can but it's a funny scenario here. Our grower is SUPER old school. He believes the highest grade of a flower is AAA and thinks AAAA is stupid haha. The cans are marked AAA but I assure you, they are a quad. It's a real shitter to have to either explain the situation here, so I just market it as the bud on the site but here it is anyways... Notice my crop ;)

I just got our first review on it sent to my email, a fantastic one! I asked him to post on the site (since he gets our KT Coins for reviewing products as well) and I'm sure he will.

This was his review:

"Got home from work not long ago, sitting here staring at the wall blitzed after smoking some of your Tuna Kush. Received it just today, and I’m regretting not ordering more, should have ordered the 1/2oz can! I’m very impressed, very potent. Will be passing on the word and ordering in the future.
Just wanted to mention that there is a market for cans of weed, and this product is very good. Maybe you should advertise and sell it with the cans if possible!! Just wanted to throw that out there"

We had a nice chat, you'll see his review here shortly :)

It is not unfairly priced for its quality. The flavor is phenomenal. I picked up a quad sampler pack and was not underwhelmed–I think they're graded appropriately and priced fair considering how suburb your quads are in comparison to the very reasonable mids.

Agree, I have seen quads pushing the $300 price range. I'm quite sure that our pricing is fair. I have also, many times, asked for feed back on our grading system and have asked for our higher end products be compared to others. I MUST stay up to date with what the market expects with their dollar and make sure our growers and suppliers are being honest with us.

I'd just like to suggest that anyone smoking or spending a lot per week/month on dried herb to consider dabbing. You can save money and get better effects while generally being easy on the lungs if vaporizing clean product correctly, while simplifying things greatly by not handling large amounts of fantastically smelly plant material on a constant basis.

A lot of people are probably like I was and don't quite get the proper dab techniques which can make them seem less effective especially when using lower quality devices or hot temperatures that can hurt the lungs, but when done properly there's little reason to buy plant material again besides nostalgia or a passion for flower.
