Nah, I get it. You're annoyed that instead of saying "hey thanks for this review" like some of the more customer-service minded MoMs they're just using that as if it were another advertisement thread. Doing a good review takes work! The least they could do is say thank you before pasting their deal.

I get it but at the same time sometimes I think someone does a review and between the mom and the reviewer they keep that review thread at the top of the list by constant silly comments, for awhile like weeks on end all I ever saw was green ace or speed greens but not new reviews just incredibly long threads that actually we're far from talking about the review itself but at home page they were first thread but yes I do understand also it's nice to get acknowledged for the review .

i gave up reading this review after realizing it was homework for a grade 9 project.

Thanks to those who took the time to respond. And no, I did not post because I feel entitled as @Beaumont has suggested, it's not that at all. This is just the second time I've seen this in under a week. Also, as a review forum, I think we should be allowed to post how we feel about something whether it be negative or positive. I did not insult anyone, I simply pointed out as a paying customer, that a simple thank you is a nice thing to do.

I noticed the same thing. It’s kindof annoying and making the review section one of my least favourite on this site..

A quick update.

I received a reply from the MoM my OP was about, in my inbox today. I am not going to paste it or anything as it was a private message and courtesy goes both ways. But I will say that their apology seemed very sincere. And I just wanted to say that I very much appreciate them getting back to me.

Then bump the reviews you want bumped and call MoMs out when they make pointless off-topic answers to reviews? I assume that's the behavior you're annoyed by, is when a MoM comments to just be like "here's a sale!" "Here's a price of a thing!" Because yeah, that's unnecessary advertising when they have their own area to advertise and not intelligent engagement with the thread. It annoys me too. But if you're being grumpy about normal conversations happening in threads where a MoM comments on a question and a sensible tangent happens and it stays contained in its thread, and it results in a couple of pages of discussion, like, that's how forums work... that's how they're supposed to work. If your concern is knowing when a review was made/old reviews being brought up, we could instigate adding a date in the title like r/MoMpics, but it shows up in the post body so I don't think it's a huge concern.

I get why you’re upset that they didn’t say thank you to your review but you gotta understand this is a forum for the community. The moms aren’t suppose to moderate every little thing on here, they have a business to run lol. Reviews should be genuine and not be reaching for a “thanks man!” You’re suppose to be reviewing for the community not the specific mom recognition...

@crossjoint. I totally agree that the reviews should be done for the community. And I did mine for the community, not for any sort of recognition. Did you see my review by chance? No offence to any MoM here whatsoever but I don't think there is anyone on this forum that would take pics, state strain info and all of that to impress the MoM's, they already know what they are selling, right?

So yes, lol .. my reviews, as well as this thread, were not done to get some pat on the back. And I do understand your point about people being busy and missing threads, I totally get that.

I suppose in my mind, posting this particular thread was a way to voice my opinion on the interaction in general between MoM's, especially the newer ones trying to get the reviews to become established and the customers that want to help them do that.. It was never to attack this particular MoM. In fact, I have every intention of ordering from them again.
