If Canada Post deems any of our packages officially lost, we will refund or replace 100%. Yeah it sucks sometimes for the MOM (we take a loss) but thats business. The lost package isnt the customers fault, so the customer shouldn't have to lose out.
If it happened more than once to the same customer i would ask them to start using a flex delivery address because maybe the mailman on that route is a pothead and recognizes the packages.

An onlooker could infer that you may be considering trying to get a double order by "losing" it. Most people's main concerns over MOMs are usually things like quality, price, consistency, customer service, etc. Canada Post rarely actually loses a parcel. Over years of Ebay and so on, I must have had a couple thousand parcels delivered with only 2 being confirmed as 'Lost'.

we've had 3 in 3 months that got lost officially by CP (all lost in transit)

I’m not one of the customers who lost their package, but did they get lost in Brampton by any chance?

all of ours never moved after being dropped off. and just the odd one out of bunch dropped at the same time. like they scanned it as received, then it got lost before it was sent out. and all to different people going to different provinces.

Why what's up with Brampton? Snow?
Shit service!! Of the dozens of packages I’ve gotten only a few have made it on time!! On average I have to wait five business days until I get my packages. For example right now I’m waiting on two orders from separate moms that where supposed to be delivered on Feb 28. They get to neighbouring cities within a day or two, and then they just stall. A couple have gone missing too

There are some areas that are effected badly from theft in the postal service.
Over the past 20 years of dealing with Canada Post we have seen specific areas that packages simply never get delivered. I have had some people I know who work for Canada Post even say that theft in these locations is high (theft within CP).
If packages are labeled in such a way that it would be possible for someone to know what the contents may very well be they can be nabbed.

As for which MOM's cover lost packages, I would think that all do? If a package is in fact lost that is not on the end user to accept the loss. If a package is delivered yet the client claims it was not that is a different case. With CP they have a formal process to deal with cases like this where letter carriers will do the claim and even indicate where the package was delivered to. In cases like this it would be approached case by case. I'n our experience it is often "found" once the claim is started.

We have a standard policy set so that our customers know what to expect in these instances. We try to accommodate any reasonable requests from our customers whenever it is possible for us to do so. You can DM us on here or send us an email and we can always discuss a special request.

We are very careful with our shipping/packing methods and have procedures in place to keep us under the radar so to speak. We've had a very very small amount of packages that we had to start a trace on and have yet to have a package that was deemed unrecoverable.

I've heard specifically Ottawa and the Northern Territores. Around Christmas there were warnings on the CP website regarding that - postage workers and passerby theft.

OMG!!! If you guys think all mom’s cover all, you are WRONG! I just lost some money with a well know mom’s (I will keept quiet on the name of the mom for now, since the replacement supposed to show up Friday according to the tracking number).

February 11 there a nice promo on a mom I never try but lots of peoples seems satisfied a FB page I like, I get 4oz of 4 different strains and its come to 367.62$, my tracking number show up its suppose to arrive Feb 18, the status turn to pending delivery on this day, than nothing! I contact the mom in question to learn they have a 150$ replacement policy! Wath a TOTAL BULLSHIT!!! Not only I lost some money (I dont know yet how much I lost, I will figure out on Friday, since they go over their policy) but they did not do their job like a professional! Been ask 3 or 4 time to wait coupkes days more, than they ask me to contact CP for ask them to find the package where I been told only the shipper can ask for an investigation!

I will see on Friday how much I hate them, but I dont expect the end of the world, since the owner was freaking out because it was a big order... I guess I lost at lease 100$ but I will keept you update (with name if I lost over 150$...)

LOL so true. Ottawa here, never personally lost a MOM order but I have two friends that have within the last 6 months or so. I’ve switched to only flex address just in case...
