Figured I'd ask my fellow Canadians for help finding the tastiest strains for my next order (MOM's are welcomed to pitch in).

Long story short, I've been smoking for close to 30 years now and over time I have realized taste has always been the top criteria for me. I'd rather smoke less potent stuff that tastes like heaven than any strong stuff that rips my lungs.

Recently got my first order from a MOM which included Purple Urkle, Purple Lightning, Diamond Dawg OG, God's Green Crack and Chem91, along with 3 types of Afghani hash and one morrocan.

I'll be honest, I'm not impressed. The Purple Urkle clearly stands out and I would definitely order again (super smooth and fruity taste!). The Purple Lightning is decent but far from what I'd call top shelf. All the hash was pretty terrible, it smells like heaven fresh but pretty bad when smoked. The buzz of all 4 types of hash was trash, barely perceivable (and I don't have high tolerance).

I've had White Widow from my street dealer a couple times and it was very good.

That said my quest is to find some of the amazing unnamed strains I got over the years. I'm no taste expert, but I always called it a pine or skunky smell, one that so fresh it freezes the tip of the tongue as you smoke it. White Widow is close but it's got a very faint taste (like Urkle). I really like the fruity taste of the Urkle too, I had never tasted anything like that before.

I made a similar post on the reddit chanel and got some suggestions. Ultimately I'd like to get a sample pack from a MOM, like 1g of each of their tastiest stuff so I can sample then and see what triggers me.

Also a big fan of good tasting hash that also provides a solid buzz. So far them 4 hashes provided neither.

Maybe try Northern Lights. Its an old school Indica with a piney smell. Been around a long time and worthy of the hype.

Your not alone, I\ve also been smoking buds for over 25yrs and i'm there on this quest with you. I always used to just laugh away the names of stuff i was buying.. yeah sure i dont care whats its called, let me smell it. Now i wish i had of paid more attention, because im looking for that taste as well.

I've made a few MoM purchases and my Favorite Strain so far is the Purple Tuna Star from BcBudsMedical.

Any other suggestions? Any MOMs do like sample packs of 1g of each of their strains? Seems like most shy away from smaller quantities. I got kinda burned on my first MOM order, not gonna spend another 300$ on strains I want to throw to the trash.

I'm gonna help you out XSINX. I'm not affiliated with anyone, just my 2 cents. 20+ year daily user here and I mostly use sativas, only indicas before bed. I insist on tasty, well grown and potent strains only in my collection. I've been to probably 10 different online MOMs over the years and I will tell you this: you get what you pay for.

For tasty strains, my personal favorites are Moby Dick (Citrus smell and taste), Grapefruit (grapefruit smell and taste), UK Cheese (parmesan cheese and cheese doritos smell and taste) and Pink Kush (piney / fuel smell and taste). I'm sure others will tell you their tastiest but these 4 are must haves for me due to their impressive tastes and smells. They're all pretty potent as well.

The key to getting good weed though is to find an online MOM that's consistent and high quality. As far as MOMs go, I mentioned that I've ordered from about 10 different ones over the past few of years. It depends on what you're looking for. If you want a top quality grow, trim, smell, etc you're going to have to pay for it. The cheap deals from various MOMs are typically not as resinous, well trimmed / grown, potent, etc as the higher priced online MOMs. I've experienced this countless times.

If you're looking for advice from a long time user, my experience has proven to me that places like BCBud.store (HIGHLY recommended), White Palm and Herbal Dispatch's $11 strains (they also have 1g sample packs) will all give you a consistently high quality product for your dollars. I'm sure other people have had good experiences elsewhere, as have I. However, these are my favorite places to order and strains to buy based on getting a high quality product that I can trust for consistency. Yes, I have to pay a little more but I'm always 100% happy with what I'm receiving. I can't say that for many of the other dispensaries I've tried.

Thanks phlups, that's exaxtly the kind of reply I was looking for. Price for me is not much of a consideration, I'd rather pay more for top quality. I will check those MOMs and products out for sure!!

Connoisseur smoker for 25+ years as well, also grow WW over the past 15 years indoors and outdoors.

My last order was with BuyLowGreen, and the four strains I received are all very nice tasting. For me, the Blue Hawaiian and Pineapple Express were my favourites, my Dad liked the Blue Hawaiian and Girl Scout Cookies, and my Mom enjoyed the Pineapple Express best.
Nothing wrong with the taste of Pink Kush either but the others were a little more edible tasting.

Got my sample pack from Herbal Dispatch, first impressions are good, packaging was top notch the weed looks good (ain't dry as dirt unlike my other MOM experience so far).

Smelled all the strains (all sativa). None were particularly strong, guess I'll see whats up once I smoke them didn't get a chance to try any, got the package on lunch break.

Also got a gram of morrocan hash, I don't have a balance but it looks big. We'll see how it fares buzz and taste wise but it smells good!

When I want something extra good I order from BudBIz.Their Grapefruit is amazing in flavor ,and the tastiest I have ever smoked.Expensive but worth it for special occasions.Their other strains are probably just as good, but expensive.

Thanks Gandalfe, price isn't a huge concern for me, quality is really the number one priority, so long as it's not highway robery. I've paid over 300$ for ounces of top quality weed before finding MOMs. I smoked enough crap weed for a lifetime, I'm seeking the absolute best.. you know, the stuff dealers keep for themselves

The tastiest flower but diffenatly not the most potent but still nise High is kootenay crafts “watermelon”
I ordered 7g last time and this time I got 14 more +order stuff but the watermelon is gonna be a special stash

I just finished up a really tasty strain - Citrus Twist. Super fruity, tastes great in the bong or vape. I ordered it from Kootenay Craft.

Grapefruit from cheapweed is also nice smelling and tasting, and good buzz, (I haven't had any grapefruit yet that "stones me" like for example GG#4 or ). It's a great example of Grapefruit, and very 'crystally' compared to what I've had from other moms. I'm going to do a review of my order tonight, I'll post some pics then too.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately cheapweed.ca is out of my league, I like to buy grams or 8ths, I wouldn't know what to do with a half pound+ which is their minimum order if I understand right. Looks like they have nice products at sick prices, but just too much for me. I'll keep in mind the strains though and check if I can get them elsewhere.

i like lemon skunk and sour diesel

Well.. got 20 different strains as samples so far and I'm starting to wonder if I'm just an old grumpy stoner. None of those samples is up to my expectations.

I'm throwing a shout out to all MOMs here. I'm looking for "fresh cilantro" level of fresh smell (don't mean weed that smells or taste like cilantro, but rather that level of aggressive terps). I like my bud smelling strong and with humidity left in them.

Anyone got that hidden in their grand reserve stash, you know that stash you won't sell to clients cause it's so good you want to keep it for yourself?

I know what I'm looking for exists, had it several times (different strains too). Maybe it's the time of year?

There is so a lot of different flavours out there, to me , I like the super gassy taste the best but I do appreciate the others too. My favourites this year would be MK uktra, death bubba , pink star, comatose and probably Animal Cookies.
I do really enjoy a lemon flavour too, Lemon crack is the fucking bomb if you can find that!
Other notables would be Bruce Banner, Gorilla glue, and that gin like flavour of Nukem is pretty cool too!

A personal favorite of mine is Colombian Gold. The sweet citrusy taste is just delicious! Burmese Berry is another one I think you would really enjoy!

For an ounce I could definitely find some friends to share with... That said I'm relatively new to MOM's and so far I've had sample orders from 3 different ones (about 25 total strains) and none of the products I received were up to the standard I'm expecting. If I'm ever going to buy an ounce online, I'll need to be 100% sure it's fire.

Would you guys consider sending like 1g samples of your strains? I'd pay for them and shipping, no problem... I just won't buy an ounce blindly.

All the bud is still fresh, smells delicious, big fat nugs, awesome. Tried the Cactus Breath and while the taste is nothing amazing, it's silk smooth and the buzz is phenomenal, totally different from anything I ever smoked. The look of that weed is very special too, mix of pale and dark colors, it almost doesn't look like weed once it's ground. I'll post some reviews up once I have pictures and tried a couple more!

I've got to say exotics are always the best tasting..

Aside top notch Indica ' gasses ' / skunks pungent smell strains, those are always hella sticky, awesome potent and gooey.

Vs the Fruity series, of Exotics.

Those strains always taste the best in my books, make's me feel the taste of tropicals lol and complimentary clean highs as well

Taste wise definitely exotics, especially the fruity tropical smelling strains. Blueberry kush and pineapple express is personally my favorite. Once you open the bag a blueberry aroma fills the room and it's just so pleasant. The pineapple express you can literally smell the pineapples and it smokes beautifully.

If you want to go for the gassy "knock you out" kind of strains, definitely a pink kush or a rockstar kush. Those two heavy hitters are gassy and tasty at the same time. Really depends on your mood =)

I got some in my order this week as well — it’s awesome smoke, I’m really liking the Jager as well. I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to hunting for those nice exotic strains. I’m very tempted to try the next batch of Meat Breath from CE.

I believe I had a strain from BCBudDispatch.com that matches this description. It's called citrus skunk and has an intense lemon/pine/skunk smell. I used to open the jar all the time just to smell it. When I smoked it, it literally left the tip of my tongue feeling tingly and the taste I can only describe as fresh winter air. It's listed as AA for some reason but I consider it a solid AAA.

They also have a combo pack with 7g each of citrus skunk, red poison, zeus, and death bubba popcorn. The DB is nothing to write home about, but other 2 are also very tasty, the red poison smells and tastes like an amazing medley of berries.
