Re: CBD for pets?

Honestly to better control the dosage I'd recommend you make your own tincture. Buy a gram of CBD and add half of it to 60ml of coconut oil in a dropper bottle (you can buy these from amazon). Bath the bottle in hot water for 10 minutes or so and then shake vigorously and you're golden - the isolate will stay in solution. 99% pure CBD isolate = 990mg divided in half and into 60ml of coconut oil is about 8.25mg of oil per ml. Depending on the size of your dog you may even want to dilute it further. The 60ml dropper bottles tend to have 2ml droppers, so a full dropper is going to be about 16mg of CBD.

I believe you want to aim for around .3mg / kg / day - so if your dog is 40lbs that about 18kg, so a starting dose for your dog would be 5.4mg (or about a third of a full dropper) per day although you can go safely higher it's better to start low and see if this gives her/him some relief.

With the above method you can get two full 60ml bottles for about 50 bucks (plus shipping, but hey treat yourself to some flower and you can get your shipping free!) with just a little bit of work and you know exactly what's in it as opposed to the pet products you can buy already made where you have no way of knowing what you're actually getting for dosage.

I used this for my old girl with some good success in the last years of her life, it made her arthritis a little more tolerable for and gave me some comfort knowing I was giving her something that actually helped and wasn't causing additional damage to her body.

I'll give this a try first. Seems like a better deal. Thank you so much!
