I picked up a 3.5g along with their concentrate deal last week, the boss told me it was their proudest flower so I figured I'd try it out! I can't find the product online anymore looks like they ran out, if I remember right it's a cross between Cookies+Cream and Thin Mint GSC?
In any case, it looks fantastic (the picture doesn't do it justice, colors are slightly off with my camera). The buds are caked and have wildly varying hues, similar to "breath" strains, it's very exotic looking. There are some black leaves in there, with lighter greens and the caking makes it look like it has grey spots where the trichs mix with the blacker leaves. Absolute beauty!
The nugs I got were kinds small, not popcorn but close. Humidity was a bit low to my liking, even though it came with a boveda inside the package.
The nose is very exotic, I can't quite place it, I never had anything quite like it. It's as "weird" as Cactus Breath is, for those who had it. The dryness made it pretty faint though, right out of the bag it wasn't very strong.
I wasn't impressed at all by the smoke though... While it wasn't harsh, the taste that dominates is a mix of pepper and spice. I'll admit those two tastes are the ones I least like in weed, but those who like that would be served! The smoke was smooth, not particularly thick. There are also very subtle hints of floral terps coming through, in the range of tea/coffee. Those little spikes were very faint and few though.
I'd rate this at a 8/10 (not letting the spice/pepper skew the note here). On the A scale I'd say it's closer to an AAA than the advertised AAAA. Had it been less dry I'd give it an AAA+. It is however very exotic looking, so its the nose, so I guess you could consider that as a skew factor
Edit: Forgot to mention the buzz! That stuff hit me pretty hard with what I'd consider an hybrid buzz. Wasn't a couch lock at all but it did have a good strong body buzz. After 2 hours it started to feel a bit sleepy but I've been sick lately, so could just be me that was tired Definitely did not hinder my sleep, lasted all but 5 seconds on the pillow.
