Edible Taste

I have tried a few different kinds of gummies including MOTA and Canadees gummy bears. I find they usually have a strange after taste, almost like an oily flavour or something. Hard to put my finger on it, but I am guessing it is because they are made with distillate? Anybody else experience this?

It's because they use weed butter/oil in the recipe. There are recipes that you can use that don't taste like weed, but they're usually harder to do in bulk and end up less potent per serving. If you where to put 100mg of thc butter into 6 cookies, you wouldn't be able to taste it. But it's hard to find dispensaries that well super impotent edibles because it's not profitable. Just try to find edibles that have a low ratio of thc to overall mass. Like cookies w/ 20mg of thc or less, or gummies w/ less than 10mg per.

I mean it doesn't taste like weed really. I've had lots of other edibles that tasted strongly of weed, I just find that gummies have that distinct oily aftertaste. Must be the low mass though, like you said.

I have had few times where the gummies did have distinct taste to
