Ordering & Pricing: They offer a solid selection of flower and have recently branched out into concentrates. Their pricing is competitive – their top range flower tops out at $200/oz and from my experience with them, provides good value for money

Communication: The owner Mike is great to deal with. Prompt replies to email inquiries and clearly values his customers.

Packaging: Packaging is ok. Sealed well inside an airtight hard plastic bag with the flower separated into their own hard plastic baggies. Definitely no smell and contents are concealed well, but I have a slight gripe with the plastic baggies the flower comes in, just because the tightness has a tendency to really squash some of the nugs. They also don’t ship with boveda’s which is another slight knock for me.

Products / Photos: My order was for 14g Purple Urkle, 14g Durban Poison #2, 14g Purple Haze, Q Mango & Q of Alaskan Thunderfuck. Arrived within 2 business days as we’re both in Ontario

Durban Poison #2:

Exactly what you’d hope for when ordering a 100% sativa. Nugs aren’t the prettiest, the trim is a little loose in places but they are covered in trichs and have a beautiful balance of purple and green hues. The smell is quite earthy with hints of sweetness. The aroma doesn’t blow you away but it’s still very pleasant. When vaporised, you mostly get those nice earthy tones. A little sweetness forces its way through in some of the early tokes but this is a mostly earthy tasting strain. The high lives up to DB’s reputation – clear-headed and focused, you can’t go wrong using this as a daytime smoke. No crash on the comedown and overall a really good strain to have on hand. 8/10

I got this in my sample package when these guys first launched and I told myself I’d get more at some point cuz I enjoyed it so much. Bag appeal wasn’t anything special, all popcorn nugs, but holy dense!. These things are like little rocks. The smell is great – strong nose of pine and citrus, it smells potent (if that makes sense). Its another uplifting strain that is highly cerebral. I’ve described it before as waves of euphoria enveloping your head – its certainly a more potent sativa, with its indica genetics having gifted it a wonderful ‘heaviness’ to the high that you don’t see with 100% sativas. A very enjoyable experience and certainly potent for me. Loses a point for bag appeal 7.5/10

Purple Urkle:

This is the strain that I enjoyed the most out of my order. The nose out of the bag is just sensational. Barely smells like ‘weed’ at all. Instead smelling like an exotic fruit with mixes of blackberry/blueberry/grape. The nugs themselves look great. The trim is mostly excellent, with dark green and purple notes throughout the flower. The nugs are very dense with a nice light stickiness when you break them up. It’s really smooth both vaporised and smoked through a bong, with the vape really highlighting the sweet flavour undertones that makes vaping this strain so enjoyable. The high itself is very nice. A really balanced Indica, the high envelopes your entire body giving you this very nice full-body buzz – it’s not going to lock you to your couch necessarily but it’s not going to make you very active either so I’d suggest evening use for sure. I found it excellent for lifting my mood. First smoked it when I was having a bad night and it immediately made me feel better. Helped put a smile on my face for sure. 9/10

Mango:

I wanted to make a larger order of Mango but when I chatted to Mike about it, he mentioned it was a little on the dryer side of things and so might not be to my liking – I appreciated the honesty. My gf however, loves mango, so I got some anyway lol. 3 nugs accounted for most of my quarter, with the buds being large and dense with a beautiful sharp greenness to them. Some nice trichs on this one too but perhaps less ‘in your face’ than the other strains I got where the purple really accentuates the frostiness. Smell is of sweet pine more than anything, but when vaporized you really get those hints of tropical fruit. Its not overpowering or anything which I like, instead choosing more subtle flavours to hit the palate on the exhale. It’s nice and potent as a heavy indica should be. Definite couch lock strain. 7.5/10

Purple Haze:

Quite similar to the Durban in bag appeal. Nugs mostly on the smaller size with plenty of frost on the buds. Smell out of the bag is nice, with hints of earth and sweetness underpinned by an overall floral aroma. Breaks up nice and easily and vaporizers nicely in my air. Not toooo much flavour out of this one, but those floral tones certainly come through early in the session. Potency wise, I’d say it was a little lower than the ATF and on-par with the DB#2. Another sativa dominant strain, it’s effects are uplifting and clear, but from my experiences with it there are enough indica genetics in this strain to caution the use as a wake&bake or early daytime strain simply because there is a bit more of an indica kick to this about an hour or so in which doesn’t help with productivity. I’d call it an early evening strain lol. Enjoyable, but probably the strain that stood out the least overall. 7/10

Promotional Extras

Alien OG: Not the biggest fan of this strain but this is pretty decent version of it. Earth and pine come through subtly and the vapour tastes very similar 6/10
God Bud: Nice pungent earthiness to both smell and taste on this one. High is enjoyable if a little unmemorable. I usually like my strains to have a bit more uniqueness to them. Just personal preference 6/10

Incentive for Customers:
Free Shipping >$99
Free weed promotions when buying over a certain amount
Think they have a promotional code for new customers but I’m not entirely sure

Incentive for Review: No incentive for review. This was a regular order which I used a site-wide 20% off code for. Mike bumped the discount up another 5% as a thanks for a sample review I did when 3Trees first launched which was very much appreciated.

Notes: Very happy with my order overall. I believe their flower to be very competitive for the price and their $99 free shipping and various discount deals adds to the value for money. Reduced my overall rating simply because of the packaging which I think they can work on a little, but other than that I don’t have anything too negative to say about 3TC. Just hope they can keep their standards high as they expand (coincidentally a mold post has shown up today which is interesting). At some point I’ll most likely review their in-house shatter as I haven’t had a chance to do that yet.
