Happy holidays everyone!!! A question for my fellow squishers, what strains from which MOM's do you guys find exceptional for pressing into rosin? Yield wise, Terpene rentention wise, etc. Recently invested in a set of Cannaplates and I'm looking to go on a squish-a-thon. Thanks in advance!

I've seen different yields across strains/producers but so far I've had good luck with:
Hazes (Ghost Train, Amnesia - 18%-20% on average),
most Cookies strains have also been in that ballpark (FCGSC, Platinum, Orange).

My best presses have been with Death Bubbas, over 20% every time!

Alright, so one of the best yields I've gotten so far was Helios/Maui Wowie from the SQDC here in Quebec. 24 hours with a Boost pack, and the results were amazing, in taste, potency and yield. High 20%

Is that with flower or hash?

What sort of setup are you using?
I've got a Nugsmasher OG, which is great, but I almost want to upgrade to something with a pressure gauge for better consistency and a more scientific approach.

In any case, I've just started squishing recently, but will add more detail as I press more.

Those will always be flower numbers, never hash. And only some are mine, most I've gathered around the web. And I personally use the Nugsmasher OG as well and I know by feel how much to press it before I'll get a blowout. And I'll do the same technique with different strains and get anywhere from 11 to 30%, so it's really dependant ont he flower more than anything.

I've seen a few talks of lindsay OG being in the high 20s

Randmville pressed our Red Congo back then and provided great feedback

JJMeds FireOG 20% yield, 14 grams in, 2.8 out. 4 mins 20 seconds at 80 degrees celsius on CannaPlates

I just did a number of presses today; this time trying a lower temp at 185, for 2:30. I noticed an average 1-3% less yield at this temp than my usual 190, however the terps seem to be stronger than at even my usual 190.
