Packaging/shipping - Thoroughly protected, there were multiple layers of bubble wrap mailer plus vacuum seal, and inside, their own branded packaging, which is downright luxurious with spot gold text.
Customer Service - Sovrin is preparing to give a luxury experience to their clientele and right now they’re maintaining that illusion well. I didn’t experience any ‘customer service issues’ so I can only say they seem nice enough.
Their website strikes me as the sort of thing that wants to be a purse or perfume or fine leather product brand, it’s very fancy. While the top menu is a bit challenging to read being gray on white, it includes a noteworthy offering–lab results! One thing of note is that they do not sell direct to consumer, but intend to offer their products through other MoMs, or as wholesale. They have a list of MoMs who sell their products, none of which I've used before, so I can't vouch for any of them. This review was arranged by Sovrin directly, and any of the resellers would have to arrange a review with me independently.

Vape - Comes in a little black compact which won’t close if you put a cartridge container into it in its tube, unfortunately. The exterior box has spot gold, but the interior case is just a gold colored ink. It comes with the simplest vape. It appears to either have the option of screwing it into a cartridge, or screwing it into a USB charger. No buttons, just suck and instantly obtain distillate vapor, assuming a cartridge is attached. It’s matte black, velvety soft to the touch, and I enjoy the idiotproof ease of use.
Concentrates
These are all distillate cartridges with no fillers, with up to 90% THC. The bubble doesn’t drift, indicating the overall thickness of the juice within. They come in an assortment of ratios and flavors.
Gelato 1:1 Cartridge - 6.5/10
Shamefully I have never had the strain gelato before so I can’t say if it tastes like Gelato. We agree it tastes kind of like sweet soap.
I’m in line with a perfect period of time to test out pain relieving properties, so instead of taking any standard measures, I used this cartridge throughout my day and enjoyed significant pain relief, only observing a breakthrough about four hours after my last hit. Because I didn’t have to fuss with any dry herb it was very simple to take a dose here or there while working. I found the high to be extremely balanced, bringing on pain relief properties before reaching a point where I was distracted by its psychoactive properties. 1:1 is a great ratio for the medical patient looking to discreetly medicate while still receiving the specific benefits of a THC containing blend.
I tested it over my period and was able to take about 5 hits and see a significant reduction in cramps. Ultimately I didn't really like the flavor, but this tells me the CBD content is legit! Very discrete method of delivery as well. I never pushed it so far that I actually got high, and was able to use this to reduce pain and carry on with no psychoactive effects.
Trainwreck THC Cartridge - 7/10
It tastes like what I imagine candy cigarettes would taste like if you vaporized them. It takes a few good hits to build up to a decent high, but not that long. It’s less efficient than directly combusting shatter or diamonds but faster than flower. Also, there’s no fiddly bits. I found any solid hits to be a bit rough on the throat, not going down as easily as the Gelato… the CBD seemed to be a bit more tempered, whereas the Trainwreck has a bit more of a shock.
I admit there were several moments where I observed the pen to be more convenient of a means to get high or cause pain relief than my traditional vaporizer–anything that had me away from my usual workstation where I have my desktop vaporizer set up means I use my portable vaporizer, which I make no secret of the fact that I do not personally like it. Its mouthpieces are fragile–I’ve lost one, broken another, almost broken another and did a botched repair job on it. It’s not nearly as fun to hold.
I used this as my travel vape instead of my usual herb vape for the next few times I needed to go out, and points in its favor was definitely how discrete and easy to manage it was compared to dry herb or even fussing with a dabber and a jar of concentrate or a bag of shatter, which is sometimes what I’ll choose with which to travel. It lasted for a few outings before requiring a charge which took around an hour. I got baaaaaaked very efficiently, usually I would take 3-5 hits and go on for a while. It was outright effortless and during my experience with this cartridge I was as high as I wanted as often as I wanted.
The main negative I noticed was that distillate simply felt harsher than other concentrates. I noticed this when I’ve tried e-cigarettes, I think in part the design doesn’t give the same length to allow the vapor to cool. I had a downright uncomfortable coughing fit though, and thought I might need my inhaler. I can trigger than kind of negative feedback by smoking, but I never do when I use a dry herb vape. I did not find Sovrin’s shatter to have this problem, but, the device I use for my concentrates has a longer cooling tube. I find the distillate harsher than the shatter, and it results in a coughing fit every time I have a sess, whether due to the heat being closer to my throat, or just distillate itself.
The other potential negative is something I have not experienced–apparently some people have reported clogging issues. I feel like that won’t be a problem if you go through a cartridge in a timely fashion? I haven't managed to finish one of them yet, but it has not had any flow issues, since I've been using it every day, it seems to be preventing it from sticking.
In short, if you like cartridges already, by all means give Sovrin's a go! I don't believe I'll be continuing to use them, and may gift the pen kit to another vaping friend of mine.
Blue Dream shatter - 9/10
Stinky! That’s a good sign. It isn’t pre-broken, but it has a proper pull/snap texture to it. I enjoy handling it, and find its coloration generally pleasing. While it stretches out to free the shatter from its confines, it also folds back in on itself once you put it back together. Some of the better shatter I've tried. If a MoM I bought from stocked Sovrin shatter I'd probably grab a gram of it with my orders. Definitely up there in the top shatters I've tried. Superior in flavor to King Tut's house shatter, carries all the notes I love from Blue Dream, and it's easy to work with due to the taffy-like consistency.
Any MoMs considering stocking their shatter, I do recommend! I'd buy it. It's a nice AAAA grade, stinky and a good clean high. Blue Dream gives I find, a very balanced high, it worked out okay for me while I was doing photo editing and hanging out in the evening, relaxing and accompanies most snacks well, given its creamy berry notes are not obtrusive or offensive in any way. Classic strain. Great shatter.
Gear - Included a lanyard ??? and stickers !!! The lanyard is an interesting choice of perk. It doesn’t release at the back so there’s many workplaces you couldn’t–ALSO IT’S A WEED BRAND–anyway, it also won’t carry the pen vape, so I'm not sure what to use it for, but hey, free lanyard! The stickers were all beefy vinyl mofos, so I used one of them on a crack on my wacom tablet, and it looks great, it's holding up better than the electrical tape I was using before! Certainly it's a quality sticker. I found an immediate use for it.
